Industrial Visit to AnjaniTek Tiles Ltd

The Second-year B.Tech Mechanical Engineering students visited AnjaniTek Tiles Ltd., Perikegudem (near Mandavali) on 09-08-2025 as part of their industrial exposure program.

The visit provided students with valuable insights into the advanced glazed vitrified and ceramic tile manufacturing processes, including raw material preparation, pressing, glazing, firing, and finishing operations. In addition, students observed the company's emphasis on sustainable practices such as water recycling, energy-efficient kilns, and zero-waste discharge systems, which highlighted the importance of green manufacturing in the modern tile industry. The industrial visit offered a clear understanding of, Large-scale production workflows, Automation and material handling systems, Quality control and testing procedures and Modern manufacturing operations in the tile industry. A total of 45 students participated in the visit, accompanied and guided by Mechanical Engineering faculty members - Mr. K. V. G. Rama Seshu and Mr. N. V. V. Manikanta.

Industrial Visit toKusalava International and G. S. Alloy Castings Ltd

Third-year B.Tech Mechanical Engineering students visited the following companies located near Nunna, Vijayawada on 09/08/2025:

1. Kusalava International – A leading manufacturer of high-precision cylinder liners for major automotive companies.

2. G. S. Alloy Castings Ltd. – A reputed manufacturer and supplier of alloy steel castings catering to sectors such as mining, oil, and gas industries.

During the visit, students had the opportunity to observe and gain practical insights into foundry operations, machining processes, quality control practices, and modern manufacturing techniques. The visit helped students connect theoretical knowledge with industrial applications, thereby enhancing their understanding of production processes, material properties, and industrial safety practices.

The industrial visit was organized under the guidance of Mechanical Engineering Faculty Members - Dr. N. Naga Krishna, Mr. G. Mahesh and Mr. J. Chandrasekhar, who accompanied and mentored the students throughout the visit.Such visits bridge the gap between academics and industry, providing students with valuable exposure to real-time engineering practices, process optimization, and the importance of quality assurance in manufacturing industries.

MECH ORIENTATION 2K25

The Department of Mechanical Engineering successfully conducted MECH ORIENTATION 2K25 on 18th and 19th July 2025, organized by the VITAMEN Club. This two-day event was aimed at welcoming and guiding second-year students as they transitioned into the core phase of their engineering journey.Led by third-year students with support from faculty, the program featured a mix of technical, creative, and cultural activities designed to introduce students to the department’s academic environment, growth opportunities, and collaborative culture.

Day 1 began with a motivational address by Dr. M. Venu, Principal, followed by engaging activities such as:

  • Thread It Like a Pro – A hands-on task promoting creativity and focus
  • Tech Trek 2K25 – A technical treasure hunt encouraging teamwork and problem-solving
  • Scrap to Product – A home-based challenge to turn waste into functional or artistic items

Day 2 focused on practical application and artistic expression through:

  • Bridge Mania – A structural design competition applying core engineering principles
  • Theme to Chart Art – A poster-making competition to visualize mechanical concepts

The day also showcased the talents of the second-year students in singing, dancing, and dialogue delivery, fostering peer bonding and boosting confidence. The event concluded with a valedictory function in the presence of Dr. M. Venu, Principal, and Prof. Srilakshmi, Vice Principal, where certificates and prizes were awarded to participants and winners.MECH ORIENTATION 2K25 was a vibrant and enriching start to the academic journey, blending learning with creativity, and setting the tone for an inspired and collaborative year ahead.

Expert Talk on the Theme Making Engineering Sense

The Department of Mechanical Engineering organized an inspiring and insightful expert talk on the theme Making Engineering Sense Meaningful in Your Professional Journey. The session was delivered by Mr.MuraliVeeravalli, a veteran in the field of Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE), who brought decades of real-world design and development experience from leading global OEMs and Tier-1 companies. The session was attended by Second Year, Third Year, and Final Year B.Tech Mechanical Engineering students, along with faculty members of the department.

Key highlights of the session included:

  • Real-time applications of CAE tools such as LS-Dyna, OptiStruct, ANSA, and HyperMesh
  • The importance of engineering fundamentals and their application to real-world challenges
  • Insights into crashworthiness, chassis design, and structural optimization in the automotive and aerospace sectors

Faculty Development Program (FDP) on "Modern Trends and Technologies in Mechanical Engineering"

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Vishnu Institute of Technology (A), Bhimavaram, in association with University College of Engineering, JNTUK, Kakinada, successfully organized a Faculty Development Program (FDP) on "Modern Trends and Technologies in Mechanical Engineering" from 16th to 20th June 2025. This week-long program aimed to equip faculty members and researchers with advanced knowledge in emerging manufacturing technologies, simulation tools, and interdisciplinary applications relevant to modern industry.

The FDP was inaugurated by Dr. M. Venu, Principal of VIT, in the esteemed presence of Prof. M. Srilakshmi, Vice-Principal, and the Coordinators Dr. D. LingaRaju (JNTUK)andDr. K. AnupamaFrancy (VIT Bhimavaram). Distinguished academicians and industry experts from renowned institutes including IIT Tirupati, NIT Warangal, NIT Andhra Pradesh, MVGR College of Engineering, and BHEL Visakhapatnam delivered in-depth sessions throughout the program.

Key speakers included Dr. M. Ravi Shankar (IIT Tirupati), Dr. Vamsi Krishna Pasam (NIT Warangal), Dr. T. Baburao (NIT Andhra Pradesh), Dr. S.V.A.R. Sastry (HBTU Kanpur), Dr. P. SudhakarRao (NITTTR Chandigarh), Mr. M. Sridhar (TCS Engineering Services), and Mr. M. Lakshmi Kanth (BHEL Visakhapatnam), along with faculty experts from VIT Bhimavaram.

The FDP covered critical topics such as Machine Learning in Manufacturing, Lattice Boltzmann Method for fluid and thermal simulations, Additive Manufacturing of Biomedical Devices, Abrasive and Hybrid Machining Techniques, Sustainable Product Design, AI Applications in Mechanical Engineering, and Research Methodology. The program combined expert lectures, practical demonstrations, and interactive discussions, fostering a collaborative learning environment.

The sessions were highly appreciated by participants for their practical insights and relevance to current academic and industrial trends. The valedictory ceremony was presided over by Dr. M. Venu, who commended the contributions of the resource persons and organizing team. The event concluded with distribution of certificates and a formal vote of thanks by Dr. K. AnupamaFrancy, acknowledging the enthusiastic participation of faculty members from various institutions.

This FDP marks yet another significant initiative by VIT Bhimavaram towards advancing professional development, research competencies, and innovation culture among the teaching fraternity.

Industrial Visit for Mechanical Engineering Students

The Second-Year Mechanical Engineering (2023 Batch) students went on an industrial visit on 14th December 2024 to the following companies in Vijayawada:

1. Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET): CIPET is renowned for its state-of-the-art infrastructural facilities in the field of plastics processing. Students had the opportunity to observe injection moulding, extrusion techniques, and the testing of plastic materials, as well as advanced tool room operations and design processes. The visit helped students understand how the institute supports industries in developing innovative plastic-based solutions, testing methodologies, and training manpower for petrochemical-related fields.

2. UEM Pistons Pvt. Ltd.:UEM Pistons is a leading manufacturer of high-performance pistons and related components for automotive, industrial, and agricultural applications. During the visit, students were introduced to the complete manufacturing process of pistons, including material selection, machining, heat treatment, and quality control procedures. They also learned about the precision engineering techniques employed to meet stringent performance standards. Additionally, the company highlighted its focus on sustainability and innovation in developing lightweight yet durable components, which play a vital role in improving engine efficiency.

The visit proved to be a highly informative and enriching experience for the students, offering them real-world exposure to plastics processing and advanced manufacturing technologies. It also helped them bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and industrial applications. The students were accompanied by Mr. V. Mahesh Chakaravarthi and Mr. G. Mahesh, who guided them throughout the visit and ensured a smooth and productive learning experience.

International FDP on Advanced Thermal Energy Systems: Production, Storage & Transfer

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Vishnu Institute of Technology, Bhimavaram, organized a one-week International Faculty Development Program (FDP) on "Advanced Thermal Energy Systems: Production, Storage & Transfer" from 17th to 21st September 2024. This program was conducted in hybrid mode, attracting participants from academia and industry to discuss the latest trends in thermal energy systems.

The FDP featured Prof. Shuichi Torii from Kumamoto University, Japan, as the international speaker, who shared valuable insights on renewable energy, decarbonisation using biofuel, and advancements in energy storage technologies. Other expert speakers from various institutions covered topics such as battery thermal management, Nano fluids in boiling heat transfer, jet impingement cooling systems, and the role of phase change materials (PCMs) in heat transfer applications.

The program offered an excellent platform for knowledge exchange, equipping participants with advanced knowledge in thermal energy systems. The event concluded successfully with positive feedback from all attendees.

Industrial Tour to Bengaluru

On 17thJuly, 2024, 50 pre-final year students (30 Mechanical Engineering and 20 Electrical and Electronics Engineering students) from Vishnu Institute of Technology, Bhimavaram, along with three faculty members, visited Neel Metal Products Ltd and TVS Motors located in Hosur. During the forenoon session on 17thJuly, the students visited Neel Metal Products Ltd. They observed the manufacturing of various automotive components such as mufflers, fuel tanks, bike chassis assembly and sheet metal works. They also witnessed the automated welding processes in action. In the afternoon session, the students visited the TVS Motors plant, where they observed the fully automated assembly of various two-wheeler components.

On 18thJuly, 2024, the students visited Ace Designers, part of the Ace Micromatic Group, which deals with the manufacturing and assembling of CNC lathes. The students visited two plants of Ace Designers, one located in Peenya and the other in Minnapura, where they observed the manufacturing and assembly of CNC lathes and milling machines.

On 19thJuly, 2024,the students visited various research labs at the prestigious Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore The students visited the following labs, viewed the sophisticated facilities, and were briefed about the research activities taking place:

2. Materials Characterization Lab
3. Aerodynamics Lab

Alumni Talk on "Core job opportunities for Mechanical Engineering students"

Department of Mechanical Engineering, Vishnu Institute of Technology, Bhimavaram has organised an Alumni Talk on 18th November 2023, titled "Core job opportunities for Mechanical Engineering students".

The speaker was Mr. Bendi Anil, Alumnus of 2012-16 Batch of Mechanical Engineering and is currently working as Senior Engineer, Medha Traction Equipment's Pvt Ltd, Hyderabad.

Mr. B.Anil , addressed Second year and Final year Mechanical Engineering students and he shared his experiences in industry, explained production and manufacturing of seemed tubes , current opportunities in manufacturing industry and railway equipment manufacturing.

Industrial visit by Mechanical Engineering students

B.Tech second-year (2022-2026 Batch) Mechanical Engineering students went on an industrial visit to Nidadavole, West Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh, on November 11, 2023. During this visit, they explored two industries: Nandina Iron & Steels Limited and Photons Food Processing Engineers Ltd.

Nandina Iron & Steel Limited operates as a foundry specializing in the casting of industrial valves and alloy steel valves, supplying them to Vizag Steel Plant in Visakhapatnam. The students observed various sections, including pattern making, preparing of moulding sand, cope & drag preparation, metal pouring, fettling, and machining for component surface finishing. They were fortunate to witness heavy-duty lathes, planers, and shapers in action.

Additionally, the students visited Photons Food Processing Engineers, a company that designs and manufactures food processing equipment for modern rice mills and fish processing plants. Here, they gained insights into the operations of shearing machines, bending machines, and various welding processes, such as arc welding, plasma welding, metal inert-gas (MIG) welding, and oxy-fuel welding used for joining sheets. A total of 46 students, accompanied by department faculties Dr. N. Naga Krishna and Mr. Ch. Naveen Kumar, participated in these company visits.

Guest Lecture by SAE Collegiate Club

On 9th November 2023, the SAE Collegiate Club of Vishnu Institute of Technology, Department of Mechanical Engineering organized a Guest Lecture titled College-2-Corporate: Orientation for Budding Engineers. The resource person was Mr. AnuragPemmaraju, a Graduate Engineer Trainee at Nexteer Automotive India Pvt Ltd, Chennai. In addition to his role at Nexteer, Mr. Anurag also serves as a Technical Judge for various competitions organized by SAEINDIA Southern Section.

This guest lecture offers an insightful and dynamic session strategically crafted to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world corporate expectations for engineering students. The aim is to provide invaluable guidance, practical tips, and a roadmap for a successful transition from the college environment to the professional corporate world.

Industrial Visit of B.Tech Second Year Mechanical Engineering Students

B.Tech Second Year (2022-26Batch) Students of Mechanical Engineering went for an industrial visit toTanuku, West Godavari (Dist), Andhra Pradesh, on 5th November 2023. The students visited four industries

VIJAYA INDUSTRIES, Peravali, specializes in the production of copper, brass, aluminium, and bronze utensils through various sheet metal operations.

NEW VIJAYA SPRAYERS LTD, Peravali, is known for manufacturing non-ferrous bushes and bearings using casting processes. This visit afforded the students a comprehensive insight into the manufacturing processes covered in the subject “Manufacturing Processes” for the current semester.

BSM FOUNDRIES, Ajjaram, is renowned for crafting bronze bells ranging from 1 kg to 500 kg, along with bronze plates and utensils through casting processes.

RAJESWARI INDUSTRIES, Ajjaram, specializes in the production of bushes, bearing liners, half bearings, and more.

In total, 67 students participated in this enriching experience, accompanied by the esteemed department faculty members, Dr. N. Nagakrishna and Mr. D. Vamsee Krishna.

Expert Talk on Digital Twin with SIEMENS Tecnomatix

On the 31st of October 2023, the SAE Collegiate Club of Vishnu Institute of Technology, within the Department of Mechanical Engineering, hosted an insightful event. This event took the form of an Expert Talk focused on Digital Twin with SIEMENS Tecnomatix Software. The session aimed to shed light on the practical applications and benefits of utilizing this cutting-edge software in engineering and manufacturing processes.

The distinguished speaker for the occasion was Mr. Rakesh B, a Senior Manager at Marconi Technologies, Hyderabad. With his extensive knowledge and expertise in the field, Mr. Rakesh provided valuable insights and real-world examples of how Digital Twin technology is revolutionizing various industries. The target audience for this session was comprised of 2nd-year and final-year students of Mechanical Engineering, as well as 2nd-year students of Civil Engineering.

Department of Mechanical Engineering, Vishnu Institute of Technology, Bhimavaram has organised an Alumni Talk on 24th August 2023, titled GROUP 1 preparation strategy.

The speaker was Mr.P. Gogaraju, Alumnus of 2010-14 Batch of Mechanical Engineering and is currently working as Assistant Treasury Officer (ATO) Government of Andhra Pradesh. Mr.P. Gogaraju, addressed Final, Third & Second Year Mechanical Engineering students and provided inputs to the Students regarding APPSC&UPSE Examinations and focused mainly on Group 1 preparation strategy. Students actively interacted with Mr.Gogaraju and asked various questions. He answered very patiently.

Workshop on Python Programming for Mechanical Students

Department of Mechanical Engineering, Vishnu Institute of Technology(A), Bhimavaram, on 17th & 18th August 2023, organised a workshop on Python Programming. The resource person was Dr.T.V.Rao, Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering Currently advising Web Synergies(Singapore based IT Services Company).

The target audience of the lecture were III B.Tech Mechanical, Electrical & Civil Engineering students and faculty of Mechanical Engineering. Dr.T.V.Rao interacted with the students and explained to them about the Python basics, Data structures in python, Concepts of palindrome, Fibonacci sequence, Pseudocodes & Recursive equations and algorithms for gcd . The students actively responded to the queries of the resource person.

B.Tech Third Year (2021-25 Batch)

Students of Mechanical Engineering went for an industrial visit to casting industries located in Vijayawada on 12th August 2023. The students visited two industries - Kusalava International and United Engine & Machine Co. (UEM) Pistons India Pvt. Ltd. Kusalava International is involved in manufacturing, supplying and exporting of premium quality cylinder liners, aluminium block liners, piston rings, for automotive industries. The cylinder liners are manufactured by centrifugal casting process. UEM Pistons manufactures various types of pistons-icon forged pistons, dualoy pistons, silvolite pistons and KB hypereutectic pistons.

The students also observed various machining operations being done on heavy machineries like lathes, centreless grinding, honing etc. The students were accompanied by department faculties Mr. G. Mahesh and Mr. J.Chandrasekhar. The visit to these companies gave an overview to the students about the casting and machining processes.

B.Tech Second Year (2022-26 Batch)

Students of Mechanical Engineering went for an industrial visit on 12 th August 2023 to Hitech Print Systems Limited (HPSL), Gannavaram. HPSL is a high security printing press and are equipped to handle confidential printing work catering to various educational institutions, banks & government departments. HPSL is also specialised in printing the requirements of various banks and the corporate sectors.

Through this visit, our students got an overview of the process of high security printing. Sri Manoharan Garu, Vice President, HPSL and Mr. Raju, Manager - Maintenance gave a demonstration of the various mechanical components used in the printing machinery like -gears, bearings, belts, springs etc. The students were accompanied by department faculties Dr. N. Naga Krishna and Mr. Ch. Naveen Kumar. The students express their sincere thanks to the beloved Management of Sri Vishnu Educational Society for giving them such a wonderful opportunity to visit the industry.

SaiVenkatesh, Alumnus of 2017-21 Batch of Mechanical Engineering and is currently working as Business Analyst in Quantiphi., Bangalore.Mr. Venkatesh, addressed Final Year Mechanical Engineering students and provided inputs to the Students and focused mainly on the skills required for non-technical roles in IT Industry.

Researchers Day 2023 -Department of Mechanical Engineering

The Researchers Day event organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering was successfully held on 13/05/2023. The event aimed to promote a research culture, foster collaboration, and provide a platform for knowledge exchange and skill development among researchers, faculty, and students.

Presentations and Discussions:

The event featured a series of presentations by researchers, showcasing their innovative findings and research projects in various subfields of mechanical engineering. These presentations were followed by engaging discussions, where attendees had the opportunity to ask questions, seek clarifications, and provide valuable feedback.

Poster Sessions:

A dedicated poster session was organized, allowing researchers to present their work visually and interact with attendees in a more informal setting. The poster sessions proved to be a vibrant platform for networking and idea exchange, stimulating conversations on emerging research trends and interdisciplinary collaborations.

Keynote Speaker:

Renowned expert Prof. Santosh Kumar G. in the field of mechanical engineering delivered an inspiring keynote address. He shared insights into the latest advancements, challenges, and opportunities in the field, motivating attendees to pursue excellence in their research pursuits.

To enhance the participants skills, the event included workshops on topics such as research methodology, data analysis, and effective scientific writing. These interactive sessions provided valuable guidance and practical tips for conducting high-quality research and communicating research findings effectively.

The event facilitated networking among researchers, faculty, and students from different institutions. Participants seized the opportunity to connect with peers, exchange ideas, and explore potential collaborations. This networking aspect contributed to the creation of a collaborative ecosystem, encouraging future joint research initiatives.

FETHON 2K23

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Vishnu Institute of Technology organized FETHON 2K23, a competition held on May 8th and 9th, 2023, specifically targeting Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering students. The primary objective of this event was to cultivate a coding culture, inspire a passion for computer technologies in core engineering fields, and assess the skill set of the participating students.

FETHON 2K23 provided an excellent platform for web designers to demonstrate their creativity and proficiency in utilizing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. A total of 27 teams, comprising three members each, enthusiastically registered for the event. Every team showcased their unique ideas by developing websites that focused on diverse domains, such as environmental preservation, marketing, e-commerce, hospitals, and warehouses, among others. The event was graced by our esteemed Director & Principal, Dr. D. Suryanarayana, as well as the Heads of other departments. The winners of the competition were recognized for their exceptional performance. The first and second prize winners received a cash prize of 5000/- along with additional goodies as a token of appreciation.

Mr. Vara Prasan, addressed second & third year Mechanical Engineering students and provided inputs on the industry insights and career after graduation - mainly emphasized on opportunities In Mechanical Engineering, Cement, Steel & Paper making processes, Major equipment in raw material handling, major products in industrial sector.

B.Tech Third Year (2019-23 Batch) Students of Mechanical Engineering went for an educational tour to visit various industries in and around Vadodara, Gujarat, during 02nd - 06th June 2022.

On the last day of their visit (6th June), the students visited BANCO Products India. The technical team has explained, what are the raw materials used in the manufacturing process of automotive radiators and coolant storage tanks.

B.Tech Third Year (2019-23 Batch) Students of Mechanical Engineering went for an educational tour to visit various industries in and around Vadodara, Gujarat, during 02nd - 06th June 2022.

On 5th June 2022 (Sunday), students got an opportunity to visit the statue of Bharat Ratna - Sardar Vallabhai Patel (Statue of Unity).The Statue of Unity is the world's tallest statue, with a height of 182 metres (597 feet).

Students visited Coca-Cola plant at Goblej

B.Tech Third Year (2019-23 Batch) Students of Mechanical Engineering went for an educational tour to visit various industries in and around Vadodara, Gujarat, during 02nd - 06th June 2022.

On 4th June (Afternoon), the students visited Coca-Cola plant at Goblej. They have seen physically how the coca cola products are manufactured and saw what type of technology they are using, what safety measurements they are taking and quality checking of their products.They are using modern conveyer belts, bottle filling machine and liquid storage tanks. Most of the work is automated. They have a wonderful lab for quality checking of the products. If there is any defect in product like over filling or less filling the machine immediately identifies and acts accordingly.

B.Tech Third Year (2019-23 Batch) Students of Mechanical Engineering went for an educational tour to visit various industries in and around Vadodara, Gujarat, during 02nd - 06th June 2022.

On 4th June, the students went to Mafatlal Industries. Mafatlal is maintaining two industries - one is based on new technology and the other one is based on old one. In the old industry, the studentshave seen the manufacturing process of sewing threads from a heap of cotton, how it gets its strength, etc. they have also seen the manufacturing and production of sanitary pads.In the new industry, they have seen the process of making of a plain cloth, printing designs on a cloth, dyeing a cloth and the packing of the materials.

B.Tech Third Year (2019-23 Batch) Students of Mechanical Engineering went for an educational tour to visit various industries in and around Vadodara, Gujarat, during 02nd - 06th June 2022.

On 3rd June (Afternoon), the students visited Anand Milk Union Limited (AMUL) plant at Anand. Apart from a state-of-the-art factory, Amul headquarters in Anand houses a dairy museum and some Amul parlours. Dairy museum is the first stop for visitors where a guide runs you through history of Amul in the backdrop of visually attractive collage walls.The technical team has explained automation of dairy through presentation containing many functional block diagrams and existing computerized controlled machineries. The students visited butter plant, milk powder plant, refrigeration unit and milk processing unit.

Mechanical students visited Morris Garages (MG) Motors India Limited

B.Tech Third Year (2019-23 Batch) Students of Mechanical Engineering went for an educational tour to visit various industries in and around Vadodara, Gujarat, during 02nd - 06th June 2022.

On 3rdJune (Forenoon), the students visited Morris Garages (MG) Motors India Limited plant at Halol. At first, the studentsentered the stamping area where the sheet metal is shaped into the bonnets, doors etc., with the help of large stamping machines. In this area, most of the work is done by robots (SCARA robots). Later,the students entered the assembly floor where general assembly was going on. A member from the technical team had guided the students throughout the assembly line. Time taken to assemble one car is 4 minutes. In this plant - MG Hector, MG Hector Plus, MG Gloster, MG Astor and MG ZS EV are manufactured and assembled. The uniqueness of these cars is that they are providing all the internet facilities in these cars.

On 2nd June 2022 (Afternoon), the students visited TBEA India Pvt. Ltd.TBEA group has long history of making wires and cables since 60 years and transformers since 73 years.It manufactures and markets electrical components. This Company produces transformers, reactors, mutual inductors and other products. TBEA also produces new energy equipment, new materials and other products.

SAE INDIA Collegiate Club of Vishnu Institute of Technology

MIND SET

On 28th October 2021, SAE INDIA COLLEGIATE CLUB of VISHNU INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY took a major initiative and conducted one-day event titled ‘MINDSET’ to inspire the second year students regarding the happenings of Mechanical Engineering Department. This event created awareness about SAE INDIA and different national level competitions like BAJA, Go-Kart, E-Bike etc. Head of the Department, Dr. M. Venu initiated the event, addressed the students and motivated them. All the Faculty of the Department interacted with the Students.

The Collegiate Club members actively conducted different technical competitions like Kahoot Quiz, Poster Presentation, Logo design etc. for second year students. This event create good environment for second year students to interact with the faculty and the senior students.

SHOUT OUT LOUD

Vishnu Institute of Technology Association of Mechanical Engineering (VITAMEN) organized two-day (29th and 30th October 2021) interaction programme titled ‘SHOUT OUT LOUD’ for second year students. Our Principal, Dr. D. Suryanarayana, addressed the Students, motivated them and advised Students to get expertise in core Mechanical Engineering domain and also suggested to get familiarity with programming languages. Mr. M. Praveen, Dept. Placement Coordinator gave an overview regarding placement achievements to the Students.

Pre-final year Mechanical Engineering students conducted various conceptual and cultural events like Guess the Theme, Dancing, Singing etc. Students actively participated in all the events and won many prizes, certainly it was a wonderful outcome where hidden talents of the Students were found and a good collaboration took place among the students.

On 8th December, the students also visited the following companies in the morning session-

  • BSM FOUDRIES- they manufacture bronze bells weighing from 1 kg to 500 kg, bronze plates and utensils by casting process.
  • VIJAYA INDUSTRIES- they manufactures copper, brass, aluminium and bronze utensils by using various sheet metal operations.
  • NEW VIJAYA SPRAYERS LTD- which manufacture non-ferrous bushes and bearings by casting process. The visit provided the students an overview of the various manufacturing process, which the students learn in the subject "Production Technology" in the current semester.
  • A total of 69 students visited the above companies, accompanied by the Department faculties-Dr. N.Naga Krishna, Mr.K. BhanuTeja, Mr. G, Mahesh, Mr. Nasiruddin Usmaniya & Mr.M.Vinod. The students would like to express their heartfelt thanks and are indebted to the management of Sri Vishnu Educational Society and the Human Resource managers of the above companies for giving them an opportunity to visit these companies.
