A One-Week Faculty Development Program on Cyber Security and Blockchain Technologies
The Department of Information Technology, Vishnu Institute of Technology (Autonomous), Bhimavaram, in collaboration with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University College of Engineering, JNTUK, Kakinada, successfully organized a One-Week Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on "Cyber Security and Blockchain Technologies" from 16thJune to 20th June, 2025.
Distinguished speakers Dr. Y.V. Subba Rao (University of Hyderabad), Dr. B.R. Purushothama (NIT Karnataka), Dr. S. Nagesh Bhattu (NIT Andhra Pradesh), Dr. K. Rohan Attele (Chicago State University, USA), Mr. S. Vidya Sagar (CERT-In, Ministry of Electronics & IT, Govt. of India), Dr. A.S.N. Chakravarthy (UCEK, JNTUK), Dr. Ramesh C. Sharma (Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University Delhi), Dr. N. Raghu Kishore (Mahindra University), Dr. V. S. Naresh (Sri Vasavi Engineering College), Dr. Bhavana Chibber (New Delhi) and Dr. T.Siva Rama Krishna (UCEK, JNTUK) delivered expert sessions on advanced topics such as Introduction to Blockchain & Blockchain Internals, Cryptography and Cryptanalysis, Attacks on ML Models, and Cloud Security, Smart Contracts & Mining in Ethereum, Mathematical Foundations for Cryptographic Security: From Finite Fields to McEliece PKS, APTs, IR, Threat Hunting, IoT and Embedded Device Security, Trends in Cyber Crimes and Security Cybersecurity in the Age of AI, Malware Analysis and Secure Coding Practices, Blockchain in Healthcare, Digital Citizenship in Academic Institutes and Digital Forensics.
The FDP was jointly coordinated by Dr. T. Siva Rama Krishna, Professor, UCEK, JNTUK and Dr. D. J. Nagendra Kumar, Professor, VITB, reflecting the strong academic partnership between the two institutions. The FDP received appreciation for its focused topics, expert resource persons, and professional coordination.The valedictory session was graced by Dr. M. Venu, Principal, and Prof. M. Srilakshmi, Vice Principal, VITB.

*Highlights:* Application of i3 Tool in Engineering - _Intervention, Innovation, Incorporation_, Engineering Opportunities in social change, alternate to animal leather from plants, alternate to usage of aluminium in automobiles with root fibres which is lighter than aluminium, and usage of banana fibres which made successful innovators and entrepreneurs has discussed. Also, Shared some opportunities through food literacy program, a project for eldery care which in this rapid behavioural change scenarios and etc. Session ended with a long Q&A session.
